Mindfulness
Mindfulness in London
Mindfulness in London with Tim Dunton: private sessions to steady your attention, calm a racing mind and stay present through a busy day.

What mindfulness is
Mindfulness is the habit of noticing what is happening right now, in your body, your breath and your thoughts, without being swept along by it. Most of us spend the day somewhere else: replaying a conversation, rehearsing tomorrow, scrolling while half-listening. Mindfulness trains attention back to the present, and with it comes a quieter, clearer mind.
It is a practical skill rather than a belief system. Like any skill, it grows with guidance and practice, and one-to-one teaching gets you there far faster than an app.
Why learn one to one
Group classes follow a set syllabus. In a private session, Tim starts with what brings you: thoughts that keep running, stress at work, poor sleep or simply wanting to feel more grounded. Each practice is chosen for you and adjusted as you go, so you spend your time on what helps rather than on exercises that don't suit you.
- Breath and body awareness to settle quickly
- Noticing thoughts without getting caught in them
- Short practices for the commute, the desk and the walk home
- Calming the mind at bedtime
- Bringing full attention to conversations and decisions
Mindfulness and hypnotherapy together
Tim teaches mindfulness and practises hypnotherapy, and the two fit naturally. Both use focused, relaxed attention. Where a pattern runs deeper, such as long-standing anxiety, sessions can include hypnotherapy alongside mindfulness. Many clients also learn self-hypnosis, which pairs well with a daily mindful practice. For pressure that has built up over months, see hypnotherapy for stress.
How sessions work
Everything starts with a short free call or video chat, 15–30 minutes long. Each session lasts an hour, at the London practice or by video (see online hypnotherapy in London). Between sessions you practise for ten minutes a day with short guided exercises Tim gives you, and each session builds on what you noticed at home.
What changes
Clients describe feeling less rushed inside, even on full days. They catch stress earlier, sleep comes more easily and conversations get their full attention. The practice becomes yours, ready whenever you need a minute of calm.

Do I need any experience?
No. Sessions start from the basics and build at your pace.
Is mindfulness religious?
No. It draws on old meditation traditions, but what Tim teaches is practical and secular.
How much practice will I need?
Ten minutes a day is plenty to begin with. Tim gives you short practices that fit around work.
