Hello, I'm Tim
I'm Tim Dunton, an Advanced and Ericksonian Hypnotherapist, Master Practitioner of NLP and life and executive coach, and I run Central London Hypnotherapy. When you work with me, you see me every time: there is no team and no hand-over.
I believe good therapy comes from a compassionate attitude, real life experience and outstanding training. Over the years I have worked with many hundreds of clients, from people wanting more from everyday life to well-known names, and with Samsung on a global TV release, helping cast members see things afresh without stress and anxiety. I don't take the credit for "making you better". I guide a process that lets you find your own way through, and you leave with skills that are yours to keep. More about me.
Backed by research
Hypnotherapy is not a fringe idea. UK clinical guidelines from NICE recommend hypnotherapy as an option for persistent IBS, and a 2019 review of 17 controlled trials found that people who had hypnosis reduced their anxiety more than about 79% of people in comparison groups. Every treatment page on this site sets out what the research says, with the sources.

How I work
None of us is born anxious, afraid of flying or reaching for a cigarette. These are learned responses, and what has been learned can be unlearned. Using advanced hypnotherapy, NLP and mindfulness, we can revisit old experiences safely to take the emotional charge out of them, then build calmer, healthier responses in their place.
In hypnosis you are relaxed, focused and aware the whole time. Nobody gets a script read to them: every session is designed around you. Read more about what hypnotherapy is and how a session works.
Halve-fees promise
We are not allowed to make guarantees, but Tim is very confident that you will make significant progress within 7 hours of hypnotherapy (usually five sessions). If for any reason, further sessions are required or desired for the same issue, fees will be reduced to £97.50/hour (ongoing).
Fees are £150 an hour online and £195 in person, with a saving on a 7-hour course; see prices.
